My name is Ellowen (L-O-N).

I’m an artist before I’m anything else. I believe we all are.

Through music and writing, I weave the threads of life into art, making the everyday sacred — because I love to, and it matters.

I make “sensual folk” music: from the heart, as self-pleasure and as alchemy. I write because I have infinite ribbons of poetry that stream through my fingers. It’s my gift & my greatest joy to make beauty of life’s raw materials.

My live performances and recordings acting as portals of remembrance; odes to the mystery, to the demons and the fire within, and to the beauty of life on earth, combining traditional and electronic elements with honest storytelling. Recordings have sprung up in a remote studio in the wilderness of the Australian bush, in a cottage at the tip of New Zealand, deep in the jungles of Bali, and tucked in the wild landscapes of the north of Ireland. Rooted in the seasons and the shifting weather of the inner world, my sound carries the imprint of a decade-long spiritual odyssey across the globe, with the textures of lovers, learnings, visions & nature’s rhythms leaving their traces in song.

I moonlight as a lead member of Tau & The Drones of Praise, an Irish shamanic psychedelic rock band influenced by the myths & rhythms of Éirú.

My debut solo album released in 2025 as a series of singles.
